On the shores of the Lake Portimojärvi (the Simojoki River flowing through) you will find a 1 hectare manor with a two-storied log-wood house built in 1948, and fully renovated in 2006. Downstairs you have the main room with 1 full-size bed (180 cm), the kitchen and the bed-room (2 person beds + 1 person bed + the crib), toilet/shower and the sauna. Upstairs you have the scenic bed-room with 2 person beds, 2 person divan/corner-beds, and the toilet and child-protection gates both downstairs and upstairs on the stairs.
The house is equipped with an air-to-air heat pump (heating and cooling) both downstairs and upstairs, with a heat-storing fire-place, electric heating, ceramic stove, oven, refrigerator-/upright freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, water heater, 8 person tableware, TV, CD, DVD, free WLAN-access, car heating plug-in outside, and parking.
The log-wood beach sauna is heated by burning wood; the water is pumped up electrically from the lake. The ski-tracks located close by, the ice-fishing possibilities on the lake, 4 pairs of snow-shoes, 3 kick-sledges, shovels for building from the snow, among others, provide possibilities for activity in the winter. The sandy beach, the green yard, 4 bicycles, a boat on the shore for fishing, and berry-picking in the surrounding nature, give plenty to do in the summer. You will find a bird-watch tower and a lean-to 2 km towards Rovaniemi, the Lapland War Ylimaa Fight Memorial of 7.-9.10.1944 about at a 10 km distance towards Rovaniemi; 21 km to the Ranua Wildlife Park, 24 km to the Ranua centre, and 57 km Rovaniemi.
